Attestation, Authentication And Translation Services

Attestation Services:  

1. Documents issued by Saudi Authorities / Agencies: 
   1. Documents issued by Government agencies: Please submit original documents, attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia
   2. Documents issued by Private Agencies: Please submit the original documents attested by the Chamber.
2. Documents issued by Sri Lankan agencies:
   1. Please submit the documents (or reference number) attested through E-DAS of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka.
3. Umrah Service Agreements:  
   1. Original documents (with reference number and bar code) issued by the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah of Saudi Arabia
   2. Business registration of the Sri Lankan agent, attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka.
4.  Other documents:
   1. The Consulate also provides Certification / Attestation of following documents:
      1. Powers of Attorney
      2. Affidavits
      3. Banking documents
      4. Any other documents required the certification of the applicant’s signature / identity 

SPECTIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

• The Consulate provides certification/attestation services only and does not offer guidance on the preparation of documents. The responsibility for preparing documents in accordance with the relevant requirements rests entirely with the applicant. With regard to legal documents such as Powers of Attorney, etc., applicants are kindly advised to consult their legal practitioners in Sri Lanka. 

• Applicants must not sign the power of Attorney or Affidavit in advance. These documents must be signed in the presence of a Consular office at the Consulate General of Sri Lanka Jeddah Saudi Arabia 

• For banking, or any other documents, applicants are required to contact the respective institution or authority to which the documents will be submitted and prepare them in accordance with their specific instructions. 

• Failure to follow the correct requirements of the recipient institution may result in documents needing to be resubmitted, which will incur additional fees for you. 

Applicable Fees:  

• Affidavit/Power of Attorney SAR 255.00 

• E DAS Certification (Sri Lankan Nationals) - SAR140.00 

• E-DAS certification submission fees (Non-Sri Lankan Nationals) -SAR  

• Education Documents attestation (issued by Saudi agencies) SAR 45.00 

• Umrah Service Agreements: SAR 255.00 

• Attestation of Other Documents SAR 165.00 

• Attestation of No objection Letters SAR 115.00 

Authentication Services:  

The Consulate can issue true copies of the following documents issued by Sri Lanka Government. You can confirm the availably of copies of your document in the system prior to visiting the Consulate. Please check availability in: https://ebmd/rgd.gov.lk : 

1. Birth Certificate 
2. Death Certificate
3. Marriage Certificate

Applicable Fee: SAR 85.00  

Translations Services:  

The Consulate provides translation services from English, Sinhala, Tamil to Arabic and vice versa.  

Originals of all documents should be submitted to process translations.  

Applicable Fee: SAR 165.00 per document / or first 100 words.
